Personality:
Self-Centered - Cheryl seems to care for nothing beyond her own situations, what affects her, and those she cares for. She loves Jason above all because he protected her and her was her twin brother. She cares for Toni and protects her fiercely because she's her girlfriend and saw through her persona to come to care for her, but these loves are rooted in the fact that Cheryl loves these people, and what they were able to offer her. She does grow, and her ability to care for people, grows in this respect, too, but still, she displays this tendency throughout the series when someone brings up an issue, and as long as she isn't directly affected, she doesn't care, or dismisses it. This is shown when the girls of Riverdale High say the jocks have a book about who slept with who and how they grade the girls. She dismissed it as nothing until she found out Jason might have written in it about Penny, Betty's sister.
Dismissive - When it comes to things that don't relate to her, Cheryl will dismiss them outright with either belittling statements, or scorn. Part of this is she has a persona to maintain to protect herself, and partially habit, but this is, in part, her self-centered nature, likely born from her own traumas and difficult situations. It isn't that easy to focus on others when you, yourself, need help. Cheryl isn't self-aware enough to realize her parents abuse and neglect has left her incapable of protecting herself in a more balanced way, and as she can't handle her own problems, other people's are viewed as "not her concern" or "not a big deal." But as covered in a later bullet point, there's more to her than that.
Cruel - While her mother was abusive, Cheryl still blackmails her own mother, and threatens to end her life, while she's in the hospital, as a means of protecting herself and taking control over her own life. When she was younger, she would even insist Archie Andrews kiss her in front of Betty Cooper, just to get to Betty. She arranges for Veronica Lodge and Archie to kiss at a party she throws, just to manipulate them and their emotions. She's miserable in her own life, so sowing discord for others helps her feel less alone. Cheryl revels in chaos, as well, likely because it helps distract her. She does grow from this behavior, later, and does these sorts of things less, but she still can get sarcastic or speak caustically due to the aforementioned aspects of herself where if something isn't specific to her she doesn't care, or she might dismiss it because it's easier for her. These aspects are rooted in the same issue.
Still rises to the occasion - despite how Cheryl will dismiss someone's concerns, complaints or situations outright when she first hears about them, she will still often come through in the end, or something will happen to make her reconsider. She obviously doesn't want to go above and beyond for others due to how she's been treated, but, for example, when Betty comes to her asking about the Sugarman she brushes him off as some story to scare children. Yet, later, she asks her mother about him, and when she gets solid information, passed it along to Betty after all. This helps Betty solve the mystery behind the Sugarman.
Fierce - while on the negative side, this trait dips into cruelty, on the positive side, Cheryl isn't afraid to speak her mind, or go against the adults in her life when she knows they're wrong, or just trying to control her. She shows this time and time again. She's more afraid to show her vulnerabilities than she is to tell someone when she thinks they're wrong. She didn't have any issue threatening her mother to gain some leverage in her own home life and stop being threatened by her mother. All she did was turn things around on her to gain the upper hand. She also shows this at Jason's funeral, which her mother forbade her from speaking it. Rather than obey her, she still crashes her own brother's funeral to speak at it and express her love for him and how he was one of the few people that cared about her.

Dancing, singing - Cheryl is a performer as a cheerleader and loves the spotlight
